Role Play Rules
- Really guys; when applying, be as imaginative as you like! There's plenty of opportunities here and I am not going to shoot you down for being creative. Get yourself out there!
- I don't think you'll need reminding, but remember that everyone has flaws, despite how much they wish they didn't, so let's not have any of these 'Mary Sue' characters. Not everybody is going to love you upon seeing you driving down the street in the most expensive car on the planet, with your amazingly perfect looks and flawless personality. Try to create real, believable personalities for your characters and give them some depth. The more rounded and deep your application is, the more my reading glasses will love you.
- You must create a new account for every different character you play.
- You may play as many characters as you wish, but do not apply for another if you do not have the time to roleplay them actively. Although I have my uses for inactive characters, I do not like to see them just dissapear off the face of the earth, particularly if you have lined plots up with other members.
- For the love of all that is holy, never take a canon character if you are not going to be active. I will personally hit you with one of those squeaky blow up hammers.
- Don't be afraid to leap into the plot! This point sort of links to the first one, but I say it's different, so it's all gravy. I love to see people really getting their brains into gear. It makes me all fuzzy inside. So go ahead. Make me all fuzzy.
- I'd like to say that this is a literate roleplay forum, therefore, we'll be having no one liner wonders leaping from your keyboards. I'll be expecting at least two paragraphs of quality writing everytime you post.
- The word quality was important in there too. Hopefully if you're even considering joining a roleplay of any kind, you have a relatively balanced vocabulary and can post something that it worth reading and replying to. Check your posts; if you wouldn't be able to reply to it, how will your roleplaying buddy manage it?
- Spell checking is your friend. Though I'm quite hypocritical in that area because you'll catch me making typo's all the time.
- Please don't post in perfectly outrageous colours. It hurts my brain, and makes me cry.
- Although TKK is rated R and threads containing sex, drugs and other assorted things are completely permitted, please place an appropriate warning in the title of your topic. A simple [XX] will suffice. If your topic travels into uncharted ground later in the thread, just drop me a PM and I will edit a warning into your title.
- Remember that you can't play God. You may speak for your character and your character alone. Yes, we all know that it makes roleplaying a fight of some sort disgustingly slow, but it's just fairer that way. People can dodge punches, though you'd be hard pressed to find someone who can dodge a... a bomb. Or something. Be realistic.
